New Things

So, a little update.

I went to Amsterdam! Crazy times filled with the best people. Not much more I can say really... Though if you do go, stay at the Flying Pig Hostel. There are two in the city, Uptown and Downtown, can't remember which one it was but it's the one closest to the station and the redlight district. Just an amazing vibe and right where you wanna be! Also, some good places to check out are Wonder Bar and Grasshopper! The Weed museum sucked ASS, only a small little room with pictures, but the best places to go are the Sex Museum (Don't go with your parents) and the Heineken Experience. Food wise, can't go wrong with Hard Rock Cafe. And if you want go see a gig, go to Paradiso. Saw Social Distortion and Frank Turner there in June and it's the prettiest venue I've been in!

The Bowling For Soup tour was UHH-MAZING. The guys were so lovely, for a band who are as big as they are they were so down to earth, you could have a proper conversation with them and never feel like they were to important to talk to you. They were just regular guys, that still seemed shocked that they had managed to get that big, and really felt the need to do whatever they could to give back to their fans. Jaret, one of the nicest people I know, and I hope now I can call him my friend, really made me feel comfortable by always asking if I wanted a drink whenever he invited me backstage. He talked to me about my photography, and even went as far to say he would really help me out with it. And he's lived up to his word. Thanks to him, I'm now going on a mini tour with Zebrahead next month! It's so nice to have someone you really admire, believe in your talet and really love your work. It all feels like an amazing dream I'm going to eventually wake up from.

Tomorrow I'm getting a tattoo! A camera on my forearm in black and gray done by Darren from Skunx in London. The reason behind this is because I'm come so far with my photography I just wanted to commemorate it with some ink. A year ago I had no idea where I wanted to go after college, I knew I didn't want to go to Uni but I didn't know what genre of photography I wanted to go into. The idea was to just travel for a bit and build up my portfolio and then maybe go to Uni. Until I found what was right in front of my face. I love gigs, but I love free gigs even more, and then to be able to go to free gigs as your work? Perfect!

Then there is the Zebrahead news! So I'll be doing 6 dates overall; Nottingham, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, London & Swindon. Would be more but after London they go right up back to Sheffield and Newcastle! Way to long a drive for me, plus I'd be super tired. Can't wait till this goes further to the point I'm on the bus and don't need to worry about me and my little Clio! I'm REALLY looking forward to this, Army of Freshmen are supporting and I got to photograph them back in April for a few dates so it's kinda like hanging out with old buddies!

Not much else is going on atm really. Order the new iPhone 4S... and going to try and tour with Reel Big Fish next year! Fingers crossed!

I have way too many emails to send. Need to do them soon! Remind me.
