This Shit Needs to be Done!

So today I'm finally sorting the rest of the tour pictures out from London and I think Birmingham, I went to to many places and totally forgotten where I've been. It's taken me a while because I was editing them all on a trial of Lightroom and it ran out BUT I've been given a code to download it for FREEEEEE! YUS! I also need to start booking shit for the shows like hotels and the congestion charge for my car, don't actually mind paying it and it's not that hard driving through London. I'd rather have my car with all my shit in there than have to get trains all over the country. I'll post one or two of the photos later when they're done :)

Chill Out!

Ok so I've had time to calm down. Just going to forget about that person but no doubt I'll be bumping into her sooner or later. It comes with the job.

But yeahh, my tattoo! Prepare to be bored shitless if you hate tattoos, but I just can't get enough of them! This one took almost 3 hours, really didn't feel like it though, maybe it's because I had someone who I really got on with doing it for me! His names Darren and he works in Skunx in London, if you ever want to get a tattoo like the ones you see on TV then seriously go here. He's done a few for the guys in Bowling Four Soup and their tour guys, which is how I heard of him. Tats seemed to come up in conversation backstage in Sheffield and Jaret mentioned it was Darren, he then showed me Erics candy skull then he had done and I just knew I had to get one by him! His work was amazing!! So go get a tattoo by him! He's such a nice guy and he's really easy to talk to :) Plus he's work is amazing and he's quick! Go book one. GO GO GO!! Skunx Tattoo

It's just starting to dawn on me now that I have a pretty big tattoo on my arm, never thought I'd say that, but I absolutely love it. It's always going to take me back to this time in my life where I'm meeting some amazing people and getting rid of the old shitty ones, going so far in photography and having people I idolise love my work and want to use it, and just having the best time of my life!

Get a Life

So, I got my new tattoo! It's amazing.

But right now I'm not in the mood to talk about that. It really pisses me off when people are blatantly talking about you but have never said a word to your face about what ever the issue is. They know nothing. Please don't even try to think you do. I've gone through so much shit in my life and finally something good is happening, so back the fuck off. We used to be close but now I can't even stand to be around you "Omg have you seen this tweet" "Oh yeahh ...... just tweeted me!". It's pathetic. And how would you even know ANYTHING, we haven't really spoken in months. So grow the fuck up and back off.

New Things

So, a little update.

I went to Amsterdam! Crazy times filled with the best people. Not much more I can say really... Though if you do go, stay at the Flying Pig Hostel. There are two in the city, Uptown and Downtown, can't remember which one it was but it's the one closest to the station and the redlight district. Just an amazing vibe and right where you wanna be! Also, some good places to check out are Wonder Bar and Grasshopper! The Weed museum sucked ASS, only a small little room with pictures, but the best places to go are the Sex Museum (Don't go with your parents) and the Heineken Experience. Food wise, can't go wrong with Hard Rock Cafe. And if you want go see a gig, go to Paradiso. Saw Social Distortion and Frank Turner there in June and it's the prettiest venue I've been in!

The Bowling For Soup tour was UHH-MAZING. The guys were so lovely, for a band who are as big as they are they were so down to earth, you could have a proper conversation with them and never feel like they were to important to talk to you. They were just regular guys, that still seemed shocked that they had managed to get that big, and really felt the need to do whatever they could to give back to their fans. Jaret, one of the nicest people I know, and I hope now I can call him my friend, really made me feel comfortable by always asking if I wanted a drink whenever he invited me backstage. He talked to me about my photography, and even went as far to say he would really help me out with it. And he's lived up to his word. Thanks to him, I'm now going on a mini tour with Zebrahead next month! It's so nice to have someone you really admire, believe in your talet and really love your work. It all feels like an amazing dream I'm going to eventually wake up from.

Tomorrow I'm getting a tattoo! A camera on my forearm in black and gray done by Darren from Skunx in London. The reason behind this is because I'm come so far with my photography I just wanted to commemorate it with some ink. A year ago I had no idea where I wanted to go after college, I knew I didn't want to go to Uni but I didn't know what genre of photography I wanted to go into. The idea was to just travel for a bit and build up my portfolio and then maybe go to Uni. Until I found what was right in front of my face. I love gigs, but I love free gigs even more, and then to be able to go to free gigs as your work? Perfect!

Then there is the Zebrahead news! So I'll be doing 6 dates overall; Nottingham, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, London & Swindon. Would be more but after London they go right up back to Sheffield and Newcastle! Way to long a drive for me, plus I'd be super tired. Can't wait till this goes further to the point I'm on the bus and don't need to worry about me and my little Clio! I'm REALLY looking forward to this, Army of Freshmen are supporting and I got to photograph them back in April for a few dates so it's kinda like hanging out with old buddies!

Not much else is going on atm really. Order the new iPhone 4S... and going to try and tour with Reel Big Fish next year! Fingers crossed!

I have way too many emails to send. Need to do them soon! Remind me.

16.10.11 - Bowling For Soup

So if some of you don't know, I'm currently on the Bowling For Soup photographing them along with Orange and Suburban Legend. The first night started off in Birmingham in the new O2 Academy, which is a really nice venue, nothing compared to the one in Bristol but it's still a really good size.

Motivation

I think I've just realised why I have lost my motivation, with everything. It's hard trying to cope when someone you love is going to be out of your life in less than a month, especially when you didn't realise how much you loved that person till you knew they wouldn't be able to come see you whenever you wanted them to. I've had long distance relationships in the past and they've never seemed to work, by that I mean the guys always cheated. I know he's not like that at all, but that's what I thought about the last two. I love him more than I've ever loved anyone who's come come into my life, and I don't know how I'm gonna deal with him not being here. The longest time apart we've had has only been a few days, now it could be weeks. I'll miss him so much.

Priority

I haven't finished editing all of The Effects photos, I still have some wedding ones I NEED to do before I finish these! But I just wanted to have a little look and have a go at editing one or two. I have a thing with black and white, I don't think anything looks better in colour, everything just has so much more character and depth in b&w!
